Tablescapes for Autumn Jubilee from From My Carolina Home

This really is my favorite time of the year. I love the rich colors of Autumn, the gold and burgundy with rust and deep evergreen speak to me. This week, the color at our home reached its peak, with glorious golds and orange, rust and a little bit of deep red. The oaks and maples are showing brilliant red and orange, while the tulip poplars are right behind with a bright yellow gold.

Finishing Up and Getting Ready from From My Carolina Home

Finishing up the Quilt of Valor this week was easy, as my machine behaved itself. Amazingly, I ran out of bobbin thread at the end of a pass each time, so no tying off in the middle of the quilt. That doesn’t happen often! I used white Glide thread on top, and white Bottom Line in the bobbin.

The pantograph is Blue Star from Urban Elementz.

Jeep Girl from Sew........This Is My Blog

It was my sister Carol's turn for a new quilt.  I asked her if there was a theme or type of quilt she wanted, and without missing a beat she said, "A Jeep quilt".  I wasn't surprised.  She is most definitely a Jeep girl!

I couldn't find any Jeep fabric locally so I had to shop online.  Darn!  I hate when that happens.  Just kidding.  I can almost always find exactly what I need on quiltshops.com.
